She usually wears a long-sleeved shirt and the occasional tank top and short-sleeves. Alexandra rarely wears any neutral colors, with the exception of white. Most of her wardrobe consists of light greens, turquoises, magentas, golden yellows, and lavenders. Alexandra absolutely detests short skirts. She prefers shorts, jeans, capris, sweatpants, and skirts that reach past her knees.

HISTORY: Alexandra Cross was born three days late in a small Muggle hospital in Iowa City. She was raised by her parents, Robert and Joan, and her grandfather, who she called "YeYe." She learned to read at the early age of four, and loved reading to her YeYe. She lived in a small Muggle house, and shared her room with now-deceased dog, Margret. She grew up with her best friend and Muggle neighbor, Anne Mahoney.
Alexandra revealed her magical powers at the age of 9. Her witch mother was thrilled, and her Muggle father spent three days in shock, angered that his wife had failed to tell him she was a witch. Alexandra received her letter from Hogwarts, and she and her mother spent a long time convincing Robert Cross to let Alexandra go. When he finally agreed, Alexandra was excited, counting off the days until she could finally go to Hogwarts, which her mother told her about regularly. When it was September 1st, Alexandra hopped on to the Hogwarts Express, where she made two friends: Molly Brown and Cassie Stables.
In her 2nd year at Hogwarts, Alexandra was taken back home during the middle of second semester, only to find that her older brother, Thomas, had been bitten by a werewolf, whose identity has remained a mystery. Alexandra was shocked beyond belief. They did whatever they could for him, feeding him the Wolfsbane Potion, which for some reason did nothing for him. Thomas Cross fell into heavy depression. At the age 18, he committed suicide in the summer before Alexandra was to go to Hogwarts for her 3rd year. The summer was a very long and painful one. She was relieved to be back at Hogwarts, to be away from her home, where all happiness was sucked dry.
Alexandra now tries hard to forget about the past, and always looks ahead into the future, hoping it to be brighter than her past.

RP SAMPLE: Alexandra Cross cried softly, clutching her umbrella tightly, her knuckles white. Beside her, Alexandra's mother, Joan Lin, sobbed loudly, her breath ragged and uneven. Robert Cross stood forlornly beside Joan Lin, patting her back. A single tear dripped down his face, then more appeared, cascading down. Alexandra lowered her umbrella, letting the soft drizzle of rain splatter her face. It was funny how the sky seemed to be crying for Thomas Cross's death. But Alexandra wasn't laughing.
She hardly listened as her father stood to make his speech to the black-clad crowd. Alexandra tried not to think about Thomas...What were the last words I said to him? Were they...nice? Alexandra felt so naive, but she didn't care. Her chest wanted to explode with sorrow. She hardly ever saw her brother even before he had been bitten by the werewolf. She regretted the distance they had between them. A relationship that now could never develop.
Alexandra hardly the noticed that the funeral was over until her mother shook her gently. Her mother had stopped crying, but tear tracks lined her face, and her eyes were slanted sadly. Her mother shook her again, but Alexandra just stood there. She looked past her mother and at Thomas's grave, roses piled in front of it. Alexandra looked down at her own rose. She finally stood up, abandoning her umbrella. She didn't care if she got wet. Didn't care if she got sick. Didn't care anymore. She crouched beside the grave, dropped her rose, and collapsed into tears. Why?
